Meet your host, Iryna Sosnovska
Iryna is an acclaimed portrait photographer and artist based in New York City. She uses her 20 years of experience in photo journalism and portrait photography to make people feel and look their best in photographs while creating personal art for families and individual women and men.
While working with many families Iryna noticed that the older women get, the more they shy away from the camera. She would hear lots of excuses from moms and grandmas about how “old“ and not pretty enough they feel.
Right before turning 40 Iryna realized that she herself had the same excuses for not being in photos with her family.
So, in 2021 Iryna started a women empowerment portrait series - 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience. Since then she created stunning portraits for more than 160 women in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and over.
Iryna noticed that all women who stepped in front of her camera were self conscious or anxious at first. Many women shared that they stopped feeling beautiful after a certain age and started to feel invisible.
After working with so many women Iryna discovered a system that helps women transform from feeling awkward, “old“ and unphotogenic to LOVING themselves in pictures.
Iryna believes that every woman at any age deserves to feel beautiful, confident and seen.
